Application Support is the first contact students have with the Advising team, as we help them with:

Transcripts - BYU - Pathway credits to other Institutions
As we are the door to the BYU Pathway Worlwide program, we encourage you to give the best service as this may be their first experience with Advising.
We use the two main systems
Reach
Anthology
We work in the Application Support Queue
Application for BYU-Pathway Worlwide is always open. Students who want to apply can go the BYU-Pathway Worldwide site, where they will need to apply using their church account username and password. You can find requirements for application and an overview in the KB KA-02737 - Admission Requirements for PathwayConnect in English.
Once the application is completed, the process may take up to 5 days. Applicants will be notified by email once they have been admitted. In their welcome email, they will received their new byupathway.edu email and instructions on how to access their portal.
During the application process, students will be prompted to select their primary language and provide their country of residence. A student must take the ELA if they select a primary language other than English or reside outside a designated English-speaking country.
KA-02418 - Applicants Required to Take the ELA - Internal
As part of the Church Educational System, students in the BYU-Pathway Worldwide program who want to enroll in the Certificates & Degrees program are required to complete an Ecclesiastical Endorsement.
There are two different processes for Ecclesiastical Endorsements: one for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and one for non-members.

Meet with Leader
The student needs to meet with their own faith leader (non-member process).
Meet with Stake Presidency
The student needs to meet with their Stake or District Presidency.
Meet with Chaplain
The student needs to meet with the BYU-Pathway Chaplain.
Endorsement Incomplete
There is an issue with the request. The student will need to follow the instructions provided in their portal.
Canceled
The request was canceled. There could be many reasons for this, such as issues with student’s MRN or changes in the student’s plans.
Endorsed
The student successfully completed the Ecclesiastical Endorsement.
Canceled Endorsement Issues
There are several reasons why an endorsement request might show a Canceled status. This could be due to issues with the student’s Church leaders or problems with the Membership Record Number (MRN) attached to the student’s account.
The Admissions SME team has access to a tool that can further verify the reason why the request was canceled and assist the student accordingly.
Membership Record Number Issues
Member Student Told to Fill Out Non-Member Endorsement Form
If the student is a member of the Church and has their MRN connected to their Church account, the system will automatically assign the endorsement request to the bishop of the unit where the student’s records are located.
However, if the student is a member but the MRN Flag in Reach is set to "No" or "Not Required," it means:
No: The student applied using a non-member account.
Not Required: The student’s records likely reside in a sensitive or restricted unit, and the flag was set to allow them to apply as a member would.
If a student applied with a non-member account, they will need to attach their MRN to their Church account before proceeding.
Here are the steps:
Log in to your account at https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/?lang=eng
Navigate to Account Settings.
Select Membership and follow the prompts to input your MRN.
Please note: For students who belong to a Sensitive Unit, MRNs cannot be connected in the same way. If this is the case, please escalate the issue to the Admissions queue.

Non-Members Students not being contacted by the Chaplain
Non-member students may reach out to us requesting assistance because they have not yet been contacted by a BYU Chaplain.
When assisting these students, please provide reassurance and guide them with the following instructions:
Response Times May Vary
Let the student know that response times depend on the number of students currently being assisted.
Check Email inbox and WhatsApp Regularly
The Chaplain may contact the student through email or WhatsApp. Recommend that they check both platforms frequently, including their spam or junk folders.
Verify WhatsApp Number
Instruct the student to ensure that the WhatsApp number listed in their student profile is accurate and up to date, as this will be the primary method of contact.
