Dryer Vent Cleaning

Background

• Dryer Vent Cleaning occurs annually, and is critical to both preventing fires in the complex and ensuring your dryer works to its optimal efficiency. Rather than having owners individually pay for this cleaning, this service is offered as part of your HOA dues. 

• Unit access is required for this work to be done.

• We will post announcements on common area doors with the schedule and send out notices

• If you are not at home during this date and time, please work with a friend or family to make the unit available. Owners with tenants and property managers - please confirm with your tenant that they are aware of this request. As a last resort, residents can contact the property management company and provide Victor with a key to coordinate access. 

Sample message sent out during this time:

• Dear Plant 51 Resident/Owner,

• Just another reminder about the dryer vent cleaning project starting tomorrow. See below for details which were distributed to all residents in June.

• Building A: July 13th @ 9:00 am—Starting with unit 1170 and working down the hallways and then up levels.

• Building B: July 14th @ 9:00 am—Starting with unit 1210 and working down the hallways and then up levels.

• Building C-WEST: JULY 15th @ 9:00 am—Starting with unit 1101 and working down the hallways and then up levels.

• Building C-EAST: July 16th @ 9:00 am—Starting with unit 1133 and working down the hallways and then up levels.

• If you are not at home during this date and time, please work with a friend or family to make the unit available. Owners with tenants and property managers - please confirm with your tenant that they are aware of this request. As a last resort, residents can contact The Property Management Company  and provide Victor with a key to coordinate access. 

• If your unit has had the vent cleaned in the last year, you can skip the vent cleaning provided that you show proof of it having been done within the last year.

• The Association REQUIRES interior access to units in order to complete cleaning of the units dryer vent.
