Issue:

1. Packages can be stolen from people's front doors by thieves who enter the building either by tailgating or by actively trespassing.

2. Packages are occasionally left in places they should not be:

   • Front Gate area

   • USPS mailroom

   • First floor lobby of buildings

3. While a great way to gather intelligence on package thieves would be through doorbell cameras, they are prohibited in our community per our CC&Rs.

Context:

• The expectation is that packages are to be delivered by the delivery companies directly to the unit door.

• Packages should not be left in the USPS mailroom, it clutters up the area and multiple times, blocks the path of elderly or individuals with disabilities.
