This section contains items published by the Government of Ontario in 2015 on the subject of community hubs. 2015 marked the first year of operation for the Province's Community Hubs Framework Advisory Group, inaugurated 15 March 2015 with the appointment of Karen Pitre to the position of "Special Advisor on Community Hubs," and put into effect on 8 April 2015 with the appointment of nine additional members to the Advisory Group. Included here is the Advisory Group's initial report, which contains a list of suggested policy actions; as with future reports by the Advisory Group, most recommendations revolve around facilitating the sale of government-owned properties to private not-for-profit groups. Additionally, the report briefly profiles a handful of existing community hubs in Ontario, and in so doing implicitly works toward an official definition of "community hub," as proffered by the Province of Ontario.
