From a family of artists and musicians, Shannon Cangey has worked as a dancer, magician's assistant, opera singer, backup singer for an Elvis impersonator, and more. Other interests have included playing the flute and piano, drawing and painting, Musical Theatre, and tap dancing. Her children's books are inspoired by her childhood spenth in rural Southern Indiana, her career as a singer/dancer, and from the stories she makes up for her son every night at bedtime.
