Neonatal Justice Collaborative

Promoting neonatal equity & justice through collaboration

October 2022

Autumn Action

This past fall, we had the opportunity to convene and collaborate at our academic conferences.

At the Vermont Oxford Network Annual Quality Congress, themed Inspiring Change, roughly 50 participants discussed the need for NJC to be a national home for Equity-Focused Quality Improvement (EFQI). We are planning to develop a QI subcommittee. If you're interested in junior and senior subcommittee leaders, email neonataljustice@gmail.com.

Our NJC members engaged with the larger pediatric community at the American Academy of Pediatrics National Conference & Exhibition through presentations, workshops, and networking events. Energized by hearing of the inspiring work of our pediatric colleagues across the country, we can think of creative solutions and collaborate for neonatal justice.

The subcommittee met in June is working looking for individuals interested in writing or mentoring a trainee to write regional or national op-eds for advocacy on important issues related to neonatal justice. Given that many are new to the op-ed world, the policy and advocacy team is happy to help support you.
