Amanda Haywood grew up in Framingham, Ma.  She graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with her B.S. in Physical Education and then got her Master's Degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from Emporia State University.  She taught 7th grade health in Hamden Ct for half a year before being hired at Wilson Middle School in 2003 to teach Physical Education grades 5-8.  

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young daughters.
