Stepling Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
Stepling is developed by Nathan Edkin ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains how Stepling handles your information. In short: Stepling runs entirely on your device, and we do not collect your data.
Information we collect
None. Stepling has no account system and no server operated by us. Your tasks, steps, reminders and settings are stored only on your device, in storage shared with the Stepling widget on the same device.
Information we do NOT collect
We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, health data, advertising identifiers or usage analytics. Stepling does not use the camera or microphone, makes no network requests, does not track you across other apps or websites and contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Purchases
Stepling offers one optional, one-time in-app purchase (Stepling Pro). Apple processes the payment; we never receive your payment details.
Data retention and your control
Everything Stepling saves stays on your device. Reminders are scheduled as local notifications on your device. Deleting the app removes all of its data.
Children
Stepling is a general-audience productivity app. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children.
On-device AI
On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, Stepling uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models framework to break down tasks, sort brain dumps, check tone and rewrite messages. This processing happens on your iPhone. Stepling does not send your text to us or to any third party.
