Gridwell: Sudoku & Killer is a puzzle game by Nathan Edkin. This policy explains what information the app uses and why.
Information we collect
None directly. There are no accounts, logins or sign-ups, and the app does not ask for your name, email or other personal details. We do not run our own analytics and we have no servers that receive your data. The only data handling is by Apple and by our advertising partner, Google AdMob, described below.
Data stored on your device
Your game in progress, solved daily puzzles, settings, theme choice and the number of reward videos watched today are saved on your iPhone only. We cannot see this data.
Purchases
Remove Ads is a one-time purchase handled by Apple. Gridwell Premium, sold in earlier versions, is still honored. There are no subscriptions. We never see or store your payment information. Restore Purchases uses your Apple Account through Apple's servers.
Advertising: optional rewarded videos only
Gridwell shows only optional rewarded video ads from Google AdMob. A video plays only when you tap to watch one for a bonus (another hint, or taking back a mistake or a second chance in the optional 3 Strikes mode), up to 12 a day. Ads never play in the middle of a game on their own, and there are no banner or interstitial ads. With Remove Ads, the same bonuses are granted without a video.
On first launch, right after the title screen, Google's consent form is shown in the European Economic Area, the UK and other places where the law requires it. After that, iOS asks whether the app may track you (App Tracking Transparency). Your device's advertising identifier is used only if you allow tracking. If you decline, you can still watch videos for bonuses, the advertising identifier is not used, and gameplay is unchanged.
To serve and measure ads, Google may collect device information (such as device model, operating system and approximate location derived from your IP address), ad interaction data and diagnostics. Google's use of this data is described in its privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. We do not receive or store this information.
Your choices
To change your ad consent choice, open Settings in Gridwell and tap Ad Privacy Choices. To allow or stop tracking, go to iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking and switch Gridwell on or off. You can skip every ad by not tapping to watch one. Deleting the app removes the data stored on your device.
Children
Gridwell is for a general audience and is not in the App Store Kids category. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Permissions
The app does not access your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or health data. The only permission it asks for is the iOS tracking permission described above.
Third parties
Apple (purchases) and Google AdMob (ads). Each is governed by its own privacy policy.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
