Fold - Privacy Policy

Thank you for using Fold ("the app"), a photo collage and video editor for iPhone. Your privacy matters. This policy explains what Fold does (and does not) do with your information.
The short version
Fold does not collect, store, or share any personal information. Everything you create stays on your device. We have no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no ads.
What Fold accesses on your device
Photos & videos. When you add media to a project, Fold imports it from your photo library or camera and stores it locally on your device, inside the app's own storage. Your photos and videos are never uploaded to us or to any third party.
Camera. If you capture a photo inside the app, it is used only to add that photo to your project and is stored locally.
Speech Recognition. If you generate captions for a video, audio is transcribed on your device using Apple's on-device Speech framework. Audio is not sent to us.
Saving to Photos. When you export a creation, Fold saves it to your photo library only when you choose to.
Access to these features is requested only when needed, and you can manage or revoke permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.
Information we collect
None. Fold does not collect personal data, does not track you across apps or websites, does not use analytics, and does not display advertising. Your projects, images, and videos remain on your device and are never transmitted to the developer.
Subscriptions and purchases
Fold offers an optional Fold Pro subscription, handled entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We never see or receive your name, payment details, or Apple ID. Apple processes the transaction and manages your subscription under Apple's Privacy Policy (apple.com/legal/privacy). You can view, manage, or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings.
Sharing your creations
When you use the share or export features (for example, to Instagram, TikTok, Messages, or Save to Photos), you are choosing to send that content to another app or service. Once shared, the content is subject to the privacy policy of that destination, not this one. Fold itself does not transmit your content anywhere on its own.
Children's privacy
Fold does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. No account or personal data is required to use the app.
Data retention and deletion
Because your projects and media are stored only on your device, you are always in control. Deleting a project in the app, or deleting the app itself, removes the associated data from your device.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
