This course uses crowdsourcing to examine the new developments in the digital workplace. The concept, business strategy, and environment of crowdsourcing will be introduced to students. They will be able to use their expertise and abilities to finish projects assigned to them through crowdsourcing platforms and earn money. The concepts of a digital workforce, crowdsourcing, local and international crowdsourcing programmes and platforms, career management, marketing, and the advantages and disadvantages of crowdsourcing will all be covered in this course. Through lectures and lab exercises, the teaching and learning process will be carried out. The ability of each student to find work, do the work, earn money, and build a portfolio on crowdsourcing platforms will be evaluated separately. In addition to raising awareness, this course also equips students with the technical know-how they need to participate in the crowdsourcing market as crowd workers or job providers.
