With reference to the Standard Method of Measurement of Building Works, the course is intended to give students a complete understanding of both theory and practise in the measurement of construction works for piling, basement, external works, and external mechanical and electrical services (SMM). Students will receive instruction on creating timetables and sample bills of measurements. The creation of specification clauses for the materials and craftsmanship of the measured works will also be taught to the students.
