Sent March 11 2022 Thank you for the insightful presentation that you shared with us on Launchbox Ladies yesterday with fellow bankers June Webre and Alex Richardson. I was one of the participants and enjoyed the discussion and the generous knowledge that was shared in the forum.

The concept of humanizing banking resonated with me the most because I am on a mission to humanize STEM education for families with children in K-5. I am doing this through writing picture books that incorporate STEM thinking and activity, which I am looking to self-publish using a crowdfunding campaign. Building a community by providing value that can result in crowdfunding support is invaluable for me as an early-stage entrepreneur.

Thank you for mentioning SHEEO.world. I will be exploring that as well.

I also learned that the PNC Foundation is passionate about helping non-profits focused on early education. One of the things I am working towards doing as part of my marketing efforts is to bring communities together to create a world record in computer coding using my book, which will give my project visibility and also give me the joy of serving my community.

For example – “Capital One set a Guinness World Records title for the largest Artificial Intelligence programming lesson on Wednesday, April 17, with 846 participants learning the fundamentals of Python coding language. Students from Dallas Independent School District (DISD), Plano Independent School District (PISD) and Uplift Academy, along with volunteers from Capital One and Major League Hacking, came together to set the record during the Capital One Basic TrAIning: Bot Camp.”

It would be a win-win for our communities, PNC Foundation and my company to create momentum around STEM education in K-5.

I hope you are doing well. I am a resident of the Lehigh Valley and we've been in touch through my son Kedar's poster for the Opioid challenge in 2020.

I am writing to seek your guidance about a community project that I would like to organize in the Lehigh Valley. I am planning to create a community event for families of young children K-5 to participate where they can read a picture book story and learn to write simple block based code. March is National Reading month and I would like to organize the reading/coding efforts around a picture book that I am going to self publish later in the Fall of 2022. The book is a retelling of the 3 Little Pigs and how each PIG uses STEM concepts to escape being eaten. Its emphasis is to teach children how they can use the power of STEM to solve problems and spread kindness in the world.

Can you help connect me with educators and/or leaders in the community who would be interested in building STEM literacy in the K-5 grades using my book (currently a PDF) as a FREE resource.
