STEM is not common to teach at home.
Most parents find MATH hard to teach and use curriculum.
STEM is not called that. They integrate it loosely in their learning.
Mostly STEM is Science kits or a short lessons or books or TV programs on a specific topic as such

Faith, 2.ELA, 3.Math, 4.History, 5.Geo, 6.College Credits. Look at this Curriculum List
Some families use Dual Enrollment (DE) in high school.
Schools have STEM education in a few different ways
As Specials (Other specials are Art, Music, Physical Ed)
Integrated into mainstream teaching -mandatory
Gen Ed teachers teach STEM
A CLUB
STEM Teachers get funding for a STEAM in their school through grants and 'Donors Choose'. They look for advice of what to buy or how to create Maker Spaces on a low budget.
Teachers look for kits, products such as robots and books.
Schools buy curriculum. Teachers get opinions about curriculum to share with their management.
They ask about Scratch Jr. But see it as easy to do with Code.org or Scratch Jr's new curriculum resource.
They look for STEM Books
They also look for guidance to make their own curriculum.
Their middle schoolers struggle with Critical THINKING. They look for tools to teach that.

Jenn Cook has given 150 info talks this year on various HS groups on DE. Its a altruistic effort. No income.
Lindsay Keller grew her list to a 1000 from 4 events.
Leaves the recorded session up as an unlisted Youtube Video. Asks for email to view the instant replay.
She is interviewing people. Using their audience. Tagging them on Inst. They are sharing it with their newsletter.
She is harvesting interested people from everyone's audiences. She has done this with big names in her field.
I can do the same with a STEM Talk. Accepted to talk online at CHAP.
Selling Curriculum at Homeschool CO-OP. Initiated discussion with Letty, Homeschoolers Buyers Co-op
How do I collect emails from this effort for the KS? Most groups don't want you to mention any paid services but allow you to share a link to your website on your slides -(i)Ask Host to get emails of attendees so you can send them notes. (ii) Place your email and ask people to contact you to get notes.
Host an event series - It could be short - Intro to STEM, then create a series. Take people through tiny chunks of what is inside your course. 30 mins videos? Dont spend a lot of time on free stuff.
Homeschool grps are cagey around STEM. Make it FUN! Have a simple lesson to share with them. JOIN me here -or if interested let me know.
