Download the Category tree and select the appropriate category that your product best belongs to.
On FairPrice Online, there are three levels of categories; L1 Categories, L2 Categories and L3 Categories. All Marketplace products, can only be tagged to one L3 Category upon SKU creation.
An L3 Category is the most granular category tag in a category path, and would enable our customers to find what they are looking for faster and more accurately (i.e. in this category path, “Baby, Child & Toys > Nursing & Feeding > Utensils”, “Utensils” would be the L3 Category), and customers would be able to see that this utensil that they are search for is specifically for babies/children, instead of adult utensils which would be found under the “Household > Tableware > Cutlery” category path, where ‘Cutlery’ would be the L3 Category instead.
Example of L3 Categories as seen on FairPrice Online
Listing SKUs in incorrect categories, would lead to:
- Decreased searchability and visibility of your products
- Customer confusion over ambiguous products leading to possible customer complaints
To choose an appropriate, valid product category, download the Category tree from the CWF portal and select the appropriate category that your product best belongs to.
