Essential Question: How can I use Publisher to make a brochure for my club/team/afterschool activity?
Objectives:
Learn how to use LucidPress to create a trifold brochure without using a template.
Understand the issues surrounding Cyberbullying.
Create a brochure that will inform others of the seriousness of Cyberbullying.
Make connections between how to do tasks in Google Docs, Google Slides, and LucidPress.
Your assignment is to read the article: http://www.stopbullying.gov/cyberbullying/what-is-it/ and find two other articles about cyberbullying to summarize into a trifold brochure on “Cyberbullying”. Your trifold brochure will be created in Microsoft Publisher and feature the following requirements:
Three sources including stopcyberbullying.gov and two legitimate sources that you found on the Internet or from a book.
A bibliography section on the back where you list the sources using the correct MLA format.
Your trifold brochure should answer the following questions:
What is Cyberbullying?
What are the different ways that a person can be cyberbullied?
What should be done if you know that cyberbullying has occurred?
Why is cyberbullying such a serious problem?
What kinds of long-term affects can occur to the bullies and victims as a result of cyberbullying?
Not all the answers can be found in http://www.stopbullying.gov/cyberbullying/what-is-it/ so you will have to use other sources to find the information. Make sure they are legitimate sources.
Your trifold brochure should also contain the following technical requirements:
2 pages with alignment lines showing the 3 folds.
Text boxes that are linked to other text boxes to show text flowing from one section to another
Images
Border Art
Shaded text box in the background
Work Cited Section on the back
Anything that you put into your trifold brochure that is not in your own words should appear in quotes “” and be referenced in the bibliography. Use numbers and endnotes according to the MLA format. This website will help you with the format: http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/557/01/
