If you see a “Could Not Fetch Data” message in the modcore Extension Manager, it means the extension was unable to retrieve required information from the server. This can occur for several reasons, including:
Temporary server issues, maintenance, or downtime.
A problem with your internet connection or network configuration.
Rate limits being reached (too many requests in a short period).
Internal code errors in modcore Extension Manager or server-side components.
Browser or extension data corruption or outdated cache.
Step 1: Check Connection and Retry
Make sure your internet connection is active and stable.
If using a VPN, proxy, or firewall, disable it temporarily to rule out network blocking.
Wait a few seconds, then try the action again (such as refreshing data).
Step 2: Verify modcore Extension Manager's version
Ensure you’re running the latest version of the modcore Extension Manager. Older versions may not communicate correctly with newer server APIs.
Step 3: Resolve Local Issues
Restart your browser and re-open modcore Extension Manager.
If the error persists, go to Options → Backup & Restore → Data Management to clear stored data and refresh your local environment.
If you recently installed or updated an add-on, disable it temporarily—it may be causing the request to fail.
Step 4: If the Problem Continues
If none of the above steps work, the issue may be on modcore’s side or related to a temporary rate limit. Please wait a few minutes and try again.
If the problem persists, contact support and include:
When the error occurs
Any visible error codes or logs (if available).
Your current modcore Extension Manager version and browser version.
