Patreon & Payment Terms

By supporting modcore through Patreon, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

1. Eligibility & Voluntary Support

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to pledge. By supporting modcore, you represent that you meet this requirement.

Payments made via Patreon are voluntary contributions intended to support the ongoing development, maintenance, and expansion of modcore's open-source and free software projects. Such contributions do not constitute the purchase of software, ownership interest, equity, shares, partnership rights, or decision-making authority within modcore.

Support does not grant supporters any claim over modcore's intellectual property, roadmap, branding, business direction, or internal operations.

2. Third-Party Payment Processing

All financial transactions, billing processes, subscription management, cancellations, and refunds are handled exclusively by Patreon. modcore does not process payments directly, does not store credit card or banking information, and does not have access to your full financial details.

Any billing disputes must be resolved directly through Patreon in accordance with Patreon's own terms and policies.

3. Data Collection for Benefit Delivery

To deliver membership benefits, modcore accesses limited information from Patreon as detailed in our Privacy Policy. This includes: username, email address, Discord username (if connected), membership tier, subscription date, profile image, and engagement data.

Physical addresses and phone numbers, if provided to Patreon, are not accessed or used by modcore. All Patreon-related data is used solely for delivering benefits and maintaining supporter records.

4. Membership Tiers & Benefits

modcore may offer membership benefits, including but not limited to: early access to features or builds, experimental software previews, Discord roles or community access, behind-the-scenes updates, and supporter recognition.

All membership tiers, benefits, pricing structures, and availability may be modified, expanded, restricted, or discontinued at any time at modcore's sole discretion. modcore does not guarantee continued availability of any specific tier, ongoing access to specific rewards, delivery timelines for experimental features, or permanent operation of the Patreon program.

5. Experimental & Early Access Disclaimer

Certain benefits may include early-access, beta, preview, or experimental builds. Such materials may contain bugs, instability, incomplete functionality, or breaking changes; are provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind; and may be modified or discontinued without notice. By accessing experimental content, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

6. Content Ownership & License Restrictions

All content shared on Patreon — including but not limited to code, documentation, designs, graphics, downloads, and media — remains the exclusive intellectual property of modcore unless otherwise stated.

Unless explicitly licensed otherwise: Patreon-exclusive content is provided for personal, non-commercial use only; redistribution, resale, sublicensing, mirroring, leaking, public reposting, or sharing outside the Patreon platform constitutes material breach; reverse engineering or extracting premium assets for redistribution is prohibited.

Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate termination of access, legal action, and/or claims for damages.

7. Community Conduct & Revocation of Access

Access to Patreon-exclusive content, Discord servers, or related community spaces may be revoked at modcore's discretion for: violation of community guidelines; harassment or abusive behavior; redistribution of exclusive content; fraudulent activity; payment disputes initiated in bad faith (including chargebacks while continuing to access benefits, or disputing payments after acknowledging receipt of digital goods).

Revocation of access does not automatically entitle the user to a refund.

8. Chargebacks & Fraud Prevention

Initiating fraudulent chargebacks or bad-faith payment disputes after accessing membership benefits may result in: immediate termination of all modcore-related access; permanent restriction from future participation; and reporting to Patreon under their dispute policies.

9. Refund Policy

Refunds are governed exclusively by Patreon's internal policies. modcore does not independently issue refunds outside of Patreon's systems and does not guarantee refunds unless required under applicable consumer protection law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, modcore's total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by the supporter in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. modcore shall not be liable for: loss of access due to Patreon platform issues; technical issues related to early-access builds; changes to membership structures; or loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities resulting from use of experimental content.

11. Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any dispute arising from these terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the Rules of Arbitration of the German Institution of Arbitration (DIS). The arbitral tribunal shall consist of one arbitrator. The place of arbitration shall be Berlin, Germany. The language of arbitration shall be English.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree that any proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.

12. Modifications to These Terms

modcore reserves the right to update or modify these Patreon & Payment Terms at any time. Continued support through Patreon after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Significant changes will be announced via Patreon posts or email to active supporters.

13. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force. These terms constitute the entire agreement between supporter and modcore regarding Patreon support, superseding any prior agreements or understandings.
