An important message from modcore regarding the modcore Extension Manager
modcore Extension Manager respects your privacy and is designed to provide advanced functionality without tracking your data. The following permissions are used to enable specific features, and nothing is tracked by modcore or shared with third parties.
storage
Used to securely save and retrieve extension data such as user settings, preferences, and state. This ensures modcore EM remembers your configurations across sessions.
management
Allows modcore EM to manage designs, extensions, and apps. This is core functionality—enabling you to seamlessly enable, disable, or organize your installed extensions with precision.
commands
Required to support customizable keyboard shortcuts within profiles, groups, and other modcore EM features. This lets you perform actions quickly without navigating menus.
alarms
Used to schedule and automate tasks within modcore Automations and modcore Cloud.
For modcore Automations, it powers time-based triggers such as “When a specific time is met.”
For modcore Cloud, it enables periodic syncing of your data according to your chosen schedule.
tabs
Needed for modcore Automations that rely on URL-based triggers. When you set a automation like “When a specific URL is visited,” this permission allows modcore EM to detect the active tab’s URL and trigger the appropriate action.
downloads
Required to smoothly generate and download CRX files.

sidePanel
This optional permission allows modcore Extension Manager to run in the browser’s side panel—letting you manage extensions while continuing your work in other tabs.
modcore Extension Manager does not track your browsing activity, extensions, or personal data. All actions are performed locally in your browser. Third-party visibility, such as Google Chrome’s internal reporting, is outside modcore’s control.
We believe in full transparency. These permissions are only requested to provide the features you choose to use, nothing more.
