You'll be taken to the details page by clicking the "Details" button in the popup. Now we'll explain what the details page offers.

The "Overview" panel within the Extension Overview section provides comprehensive metadata for each extension. This information includes:
Extension Name
Short Extension Name

Status: (Enabled/Disabled)

Can be removed: (Yes/No)
Works Offline Indicator (Note: Many extensions do not provide this information, which is why this field is often incorrect.)
Update URL
Available Icons (Note: All icons specified in the extension's manifest will be loaded.)
Description

A convenient copy function is available for some of these data fields.
Important Considerations:
Please note that not all extensions support every field listed above. For example, some extensions may not have a "Homepage" specified if the developer has not provided one.
Similar to the quick actions available in the pop-up, the Details page also allows you to perform various actions for an extension:
Enable/Disable Extension: Toggle the active status of the extension.
Open Extension Options: Configure specific settings for the extension (if available).
View Extension in Chrome Web Store: Access the extension's page on the Chrome Web Store (if available)
Refresh: Updates data of the extension that was saved by modcore EM.
Uninstall Extension: Remove the extension from your browser.
Important Note:
Please be aware that not all actions may be available for every extension. For instance, an extension might not have a dedicated settings or options page, preventing modcore EM from opening it. Additionally, you may be unable to uninstall extensions if your device is managed by an organization.
The "Permissions" panel on the details page provides crucial information regarding the permissions an extension utilizes, encompassing both API permissions and host access permissions. Detailed explanations for these permission types are available directly within modcore EM.
This panel includes the following features:
Explanation of Permissions: Access clear descriptions of what each permission entails.
Search for Permissions: Quickly locate specific permissions by name.
Permissions Filter: Filter API permissions and Host permissions according to your preferences.
Display Options: View permissions in either a list or grid layout.
Risk Factor of Permissions: Understand the potential security implications associated with each permission.
Risk Legend: This legend explains the methodology used to assign risk factors to permissions.
Only the permissions genuinely used or specified by the extension will be displayed. For very simple extensions that do not require any permissions, a message will indicate that modcore EM found no permissions.
All permissions have an 'Extended Permissions View'. You can open it as follows:
Hover your mouse cursor over a permission.
Click the "More" icon (3 horizontal dots).
The Extended Permissions View is designed to provide users with more detailed information about an API or host permission.
These details are displayed in the Extended Permissions View:
Permission risk factor
Permission category (functionality, security, privacy, etc.)
Brief description of a permission
Detailed description of a permission
Common use cases (extensions that frequently require this permission)
Security tips (these are primarily intended for extension developers)
View Documentation (opens Google's documentation for the specific Permission)
Support the Developer is a program designed to help extension creators receive support for their work. Developers can submit their own extensions along with donation links - such as PayPal, Patreon, or similar platforms - so users who appreciate their tools can easily contribute.
This initiative gives developers the opportunity to earn more and invest back into improving their extensions. Best of all, it’s completely free to use - for both developers and users, whether personally or commercially.
Are you a developer looking to join the program?
As an extension developer, please fill out this form to have your extension included in the modcore Extension Manager. Fill out the form >
For users, here’s how it works:
You may come across two types of screens. One will show donation options for a specific extension, using links provided directly by the developer. The other will indicate that the extension isn’t part of the program.
If an extension isn’t included, please don’t reach out to us unless you’re the developer. Only developers can request their extension to be added - we don’t include any without their consent.
Also, be aware that some donation links may become outdated or even suspicious. If you notice a broken or suspicious link within an extension that's part of the program, you can report it directly. We take online safety seriously and will remove any extensions that are found to contain misleading or harmful links.
More updates and details will be shared soon.
You should currently see one of these screens:
Note: These are old photos from an older version. We discovered development errors in the new version for the 'Support the Developer' program, which is why we haven't updated the photos yet.
The active screen displays options for users to donate to the extension or the extension's development team, or developers have the option to add other links, such as a help center.
Simply put: This extension has been officially accepted into the "Support the Developer" program.
The inactive screen tells users that this extension is not in the "Support the Developer" program. This can happen for a variety of reasons. This screen should appear more frequently than the active screen, as the "Support the Developer" program is not yet widely known around developers.
Simply put: This extension is not yet in the "Support the Developer" program.
