Discovery

Discovery is an integrated feature in modcore Extension Manager that allows you to quickly find all features of modcore EM.

You can also customize Discovery and quickly check for updates.

Open/Close Discovery

Click on the Discovery icon in the top right corner.

You can also open/close Discovery with the Alt+D shortcut.

Once you open Discovery, your screen should look just like this image (note: minor layout variations are normal).

If you downloaded moddcore EM from the store, please note that the update checker is not included.

The first icon, the update checker, allows you to check for updates for modcore EM.
The second icon, the Move feature, allows you to move all Discovery Hub features.
The third icon, the help menu, opens a list of keyboard shortcuts and also provides a link for the full documentation.

Update checker is not available in store-downloaded versions.

Immediately after you click the update checker icon, modcore Extension Manager will ask you to confirm an internet connection to the GitHub servers.

After you grant this permission, modcore EM will connect to GitHub to compare your installed version with the current version of modcore EM.

Updates can only be checked every 24 hours to save limits. GitHub may collect certain data in the process.

Update checker is not available in store-downloaded versions.

Easily customize your workspace with the "Move" feature. Simply click it to rearrange any Discovery Hub tool to your preferred location.

You can drag and drop functions wherever you like, or swap them instantly by clicking one and then another.

This is the help menu.

Here you can see keyboard shortcuts (only) for Discovery. Some keyboard shortcuts don't work unless you have Discovery open.

Scroll down further to find the close button or simply click "Esc."
