This investigation will help you to:
Investigate the topic of Changing Places at Barangaroo and Millers Point.
Understand key terms and concepts you will be exploring in your fieldwork.
Use geographic knowledge to answer a fieldwork question: Describe and evaluate how Barangaroo and Millers Point contribute to the creation of environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable urban places.
Next week you will all undertake a 60 minute virtual fieldwork experience (via the Byrne Theatre) to Barangaroo.
Classes 9.1 - 9.3 will undertake it on Monday 5th December. You will be dismissed from your Period 3 class 10 minutes early to make your way to the Byrne Theatre to start the webinar promptly on the bell. Lateness will result in losing some of your lunchtime so please ensure this doesn't occur.
Classes 9.4 - 9.7 will undertake the virtual fieldwork on Wednesday December 7th, you will go straight to the Byrne Theatre after recess as quickly as possible. You will be about 10 minutes late to your period 4 class on that day.
This webinar is designed to deepen your knowledge and understanding of the Changing Places unit of work by applying the concepts and syllabus outcomes to a short case study of Barangaroo, provided by the Observatory Hill Education Centre.
