On Saturday night there will be a MTI Team Social hosted by Universities Space Research Association, Maryland's FIRST® Tech Challenge affiliate partner.

All team members, parents, coaches, and mentors are invited to join us for an evening of celebration and socializing at the home of the Maryland/DC FIRST Tech Challenge!   Tickets are required.  Coaches/mentors attend for free but must register.  All others are $7 each*.

Date: Saturday, June 29

Time: 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m

Location: USRA STEMaction Center, 7178 Columbia Gateway Dr, Columbia, MD 21046 (a 15 minute drive from the competition venue) 

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in STEM Challenges, human FRC matches, board games, and video games while socializing with other teams from the MTI. 

A tentative schedule is included below:

6:30 p.m. doors open for participants/ food, board games, and video games open

7:00 p.m. STEM Challenge 1: LEGO Engineering/ food and games remain open

7:30 p.m. Human FRC Matches/ food and games remain open

8:00 p.m. STEM Challenge 2:  Build Recycled Robots/ food closes, games remain open

8:30 p.m.  STEM Challenge 3: Recycled Robots Minute to Win It/ games remain open

9:00 p.m. Get some rest for day 2 of the MTI!

*All fees collected are used to cover the costs of meals and entertainment.
