Robotic and Human Exploration of the Moon

At the nexus of robotic and human exploration of the moon, where can you make a game-changing impact?

Join us at the Maryland Tech Invitational (MTI) 2023 STEM Expo on June 23 at 3:30 p.m. hosted at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) to learn more!

Formed from the cataclysmic collision of a Mars-sized planet with the early Earth, our Moon bears many scars from the foundation of the solar system, making it a powerful witness to understanding the solar system’s past and estimating the age of other worlds. With APL housing the world’s largest community of lunar experts in a single location and leading the NASA Lunar Surface Innovation Consortium, a nationwide alliance of more than 300 academics, commercial and government organization with a vested interest in establishing a sustained presence on the Moon; this is the opportunity to discuss your ideas with experts in the field.

The focus areas include  how APL and NASA scientists take on the challenge of operating in the harsh lunar environment, developing cutting-edge science and concerted technological efforts to help us return to the moon, and new ways of exploring and understanding our closest celestial neighbor. Stay after the presentations for hands-on demonstrations.

If you are a MTI student, mentor, volunteer or supporter and would like to register for the event, please do so by Thursday June 22, 2023. Pre-registration is required and can be done through these forms:
