My role in this experience was a leader.
This experience aligns with the communication competency because I formulated and carried out plans for internal and external communications.
As a future principal, I learned that is takes a lot of time and eyes to prepare for a very detailed and important week of preperation for the school year. This is also communication that your staff is really anxious about as they consider reestabilishing their classroom and plans.
I have included my notes of different questioning that my principal uses when commmunicating with students. As we problem solved with a group of thrid graders she used this framework.
My role in this experience was an observer.
This experience aligns with the communication competency because I demonstrate an understanding of conflict resolution and problem solving strategies.
As a future principal, I learned that it is important to have problem solving strategies that align with your belief in students.
I have included an outline of a tweet and email that was used to recruit Apple Valley students to volunteer for their back to school night. I have also included a graph of the respondents who volunteered to participate.

As a future principal, I learned you have to think creatively when communicating with young adults. It is important to know how to work technology.
