Inspector
The inspector is the head of the recruitment and development department and as such is responsible to ensuring it is operating to the required standard. They will set out policies for the department and will work with police command to bring about any changes involving the recruitment and training of officers. The inspector is also responsible for promoting people to the rank of Sergeant in the department as well as recruiting new training officers however they may delegate this to one of their Sergeants.
Sergeant
The sergeants in the recruitment and development department are responsible for overseeing the work conducted by the training officers to ensure it remains to a high standard. They are also responsible for singing off completed officer development plans and promoting probationary police constables to the the rank of police constable.
Advanced Training Officer [ATO]
Advanced training officers are experienced training officers who have been given additional responsibilities as they have put a lot of time and effort into training other officers and are trusted to work to a high standard. As such advanced training officers are permitted to:
Provide Training Officer Statements;
Conduct Interviews;
Conduct officer safety training;
Conduct taser training;
Evaluate and grade ODP submissions;
Conduct FIM training.;
Conduct Assessed Patrols.
Training Officer [TO]
Training officers are officers that have expressed an interesting in teaching skills to both new and existing officers in the Los Santos Police Service. A training officer can:
Provide Training Officer Statements;
Conduct Interviews;
Conduct officer safety training;
