We are granted high performance vehicles and specialist equipment in order to achieve our aim and assist other police divisions. The roads policing unit is split into three main teams, which are Safer Roads, the Road Crime Team and Operation Venice.

Safe resolution of pursuits
Proactive enforcement in areas of high road crime
Interoperability with other emergency services
Actioning Road Crime Team (RCT) targets
Intelligence gathering for RCT development
The Road Crime Team is a smaller team focusing more on targeting individuals. They will handle intel submissions from Safer Roads, other police units, or the public. They will then develop on said intel with the aim of handing out imprisonments, DL points or bans, and vehicle seizures or scrapping. They’ll look at serious or prolific road related offences including organised street racing, intercepting vehicles linked to drug or weapons trafficking, or individuals continuously failing to stop in high-performance vehicles. Road Crime Team priorities are:
Gather and develop intelligence
Targeting serious prolific traffic offenders
Intercepting vehicles linked to drug or firearm offences
Work in collaboration with other policing units to disrupt crime, including OCG's
Venice is the Roads Policing response to motorcycle crime in the city. This is a small task force that proactively, and reactively, targets primarily motorcycles being used by prolific drug suppliers and OCG's to disrupt illegal activities.
