As a Policy set up by both Police Command and Specialist Firearms Command, officers are required to hand down a sentence no less than 80% of the maximum sentence for the related Firearm Offence. Failure to adhere to this will attract the attention of your unit lead, SFC, and POLCOM.
If the PIC in question is a member of an organized crime group (OCG)*, then the 80% requirement is to be used on their entire sentence,. This only applies if they're being charged alongside a firearms charge.
I.e, if their entire sentence equals 720 months, then they must, at minimum, receive 80% of the total sentence, which would equal 576 months.
*An OCG member is anyone who's committed a crime while being associated with an OCG, such as Grove Street Families, Ballas, etc.
