This document outlines the eligibility and process for officers wishing to rejoin the LSPS. It will be updated to reflect any changes as and when they occur, so ensure you’re familiar with this document before rejoining.
For an officer to be eligible for the returning officer program, they must meet certain criteria:
Have a clean criminal record;
Not currently under investigation for any offences.
Not currently under investigation for misconduct.
Not previously fired from the Los Santos Police Service (Except for Inactivity).
An officer wanting to rejoin the LSPS should contact the a member of the Training Officer team.
The officer should then evaluate whether the individual is eligible for the LSPS.
If eligible, the officer will be informed of the necessary steps to rejoin, based on the detailed criteria in the table below, clarifying its role in guiding the process.
The officer should send an “email”(message) on Discord announcing the individual's intention to return and any tasks they need to complete.
Relevant whitelisting should be requested.
The officer should be added to the police database with the relevant rank, as per the conditions of returning explained in the table below.
Note: Police Command or Response Command may impose additional requirements on an individual basis should they feel it necessary to do so, such as, but not exclusively, an ‘TO / Sergeant Patrol*’
*The TO Patrol is a patrol with the returning officer, accompanied by an Response Senior, to assess their knowledge and conduct
