Fall Risk Racing “Leary” Jersey

This Fall Risk Racing “Leary” jersey was gifted to the Lititz BMX Archive by BMX racer Greg Mathias as a gesture of appreciation after the archive helped return an important artifact connected to his racing career.

During the cataloging of the Leary Locker collection, the archive discovered a 2017 Team USA “Leary” jersey that had previously belonged to Harry Leary. The jersey was returned to Mathias, who had been closely connected to Leary and his racing legacy.

In recognition of that effort, Mathias presented this Fall Risk Racing jersey to the archive. The exchange reflects the strong sense of mutual respect that exists within the BMX community, where riders, collectors, and historians frequently work together to preserve the history of the sport.

Artifacts like this illustrate the ongoing relationships that help keep BMX history alive long after the original races have taken place.
