Understanding Torn’s medical system is crucial for both survival and support roles. This course will teach you how to use medical items effectively, understand revive mechanics, and manage hospital strategies to optimize your gameplay. By the end of LU 302, you will be proficient in medical tactics, whether for yourself or your faction.

Medical items restore health and reduce hospital time, but have cooldowns:
Small First Aid Kit: Heals 5% of health, reduces hospital time by 20 minutes.
First Aid Kit: Heals 10% of health, reduces hospital time by 40 minutes.
Morphine: Heals 15% of health, reduces hospital time by 70 minutes.
Blood Bags: Best medical item, heals 30% of health, reduces hospital time by 120 minutes.
To use blood bags, you must first complete two Torn education courses:
BIO1340: Introduction to Biochemistry
BIO2127: Intravenous Therapy

Revives can earn you money and status in Torn, but require special training:
Revive Skill Requirement: Must reach Brain Surgeon rank in Medical NPC job.
Energy Cost: A revive costs 75 energy (reduced with faction perks).
Revive Price: Typically costs $1M or 1 Xanax from other players.
Faction Strategy: During wars, avoid keeping revives on unless necessary.

Being in the hospital can be beneficial in some cases:
Avoid Being Farmed: Stay in the hospital during wars to avoid repeated attacks.
Self-Hospitalization Tactics: Use the wrong blood type or Ipecac Syrup to extend hospital time.
Early Discharge: Only available during war scenarios.
