Science isn’t just about discovery—it’s about domination.
In Ranked Wars, our faction is matched against another faction of similar size and strength (though sometimes the matchups feel far from fair). The goal? Earn more Respect than the enemy.
Once a faction reaches a large enough lead, the war ends, and huge prizes are distributed. These rewards go directly to the faction and are later shared among everyone who participated. Ranked Warring is one of the best ways to earn cash and have fun—no matter your level.
Your two main objectives in war:
1️⃣ Stay plugged into Discord – The war effort lives and breathes in #legit-laboratory. Orders change rapidly, and teamwork wins wars. Being reckless with Energy can cost us the war. Stick to the plan.
2️⃣ Earn more points than you give away – Every time you lose a fight, the enemy gains Respect. Your goal is to earn more than they do.
To do this, maximize your defense (so you’re harder to attack) and maximize your offense (so your hits earn the most Respect).
✔ Turn Off Revives – Go to the Hospital page and click the EKG icon until it turns red ("Nobody").
✔ Stack to 1000E Before War –
Everyone Level 15+ is expected to stack.
Xanax is available in the armory for stacking.
DO NOT train or attack during stacking or war. You will attract unwanted ire.
Defense isn’t just about being strong—it’s about being unattackable. Here’s how to make sure you bleed as few points as possible during war:
✔ Unlock Flying ASAP – If you can’t fly, you can’t hide. Get to Level 15 quickly to unlock travel and play a better defense.
✔ Get Blood Bags – Complete the necessary education courses (Introduction to Biochemistry → Intravenous Therapy) so you can heal and self-hosp.
✔ You Can’t Be Attacked in the Hospital or While Flying – If you’re not attacking, you should be flying or hospitalized. Stay off the streets of Torn.
✔ Self-Hosping Tools – You can hospitalize yourself with:
Ipecac Syrup (found in the faction armory. Note: this item does not stack, so don't take another one until your hospital time is almost up!)
Using the wrong blood bag (if you have the education, this is the best option)
✔ Plan for Long AFK Periods – If you need to be offline for more than 1-1.5 hours, don’t just log off—fly somewhere far away (1.5+ hours flight time). Check #announcements to avoid flying to enemy strongholds.
✔ Communicate if You’ll Be Gone – If you’ll be completely unavailable during the war, let leadership know in Discord. We’ll help you plan so you don’t bleed points.
🚨 DO NOT Sit Idle in Torn – If you log off without a plan, you’ll be farmed for Respect. Everyone is responsible for their own defense. If you continuously give away points, you risk demotion or removal from the faction.
Legit Labs isn’t the strongest faction, but we outsmart bigger factions with strategy. Our war record speaks for itself.
We win by:
✔ Mastering Defense – Making it harder for the enemy to farm us.
✔ Catching the Enemy Off Guard – Using coordinated, smart attacks.
✔ Using Team-Based “Plays” – We are developing and testing new war tactics. Read the Plays section on the site, practice them between wars, and use them during battles to take down even the toughest enemies.
Attacking at random is a rookie mistake. You need to attack smart to maximize Respect earned.
🔍 Don’t rely on Level alone – A high-level opponent might be weak, and a low-level opponent might be stacked. Instead, check:
✔ Age – Older players have had more time to train
✔ Xanax & Ecstasy Use – More drugs usually = higher stats
✔ Property Owned – Private Island? Probably strong. Shack? Probably weak
✔ Time Played Graph – Helpful to provide further insight into how strong a player might have become over time
🔬 Use Scripts & Tools – Extensions like TornTools and TornPDA can estimate enemy stats, as well as various scripts.
📌 Keep Track of Your Targets – Use the Stake Out feature on TornTools or TornPDA, YATA.yt, or the #ll-war-tracker channel in Discord so you know when your best targets need to be put back down!
See the Deep Dive into Smart Farming and Enemy Patterns section below for more details!
To win faster and earn more, take advantage of these multipliers:
✔ Assists Bonus (1.5x Respect) – If a factionmate is in a fight with you, and you land the final hit, you get the full Respect while they get an "assist" (and a cash bonus from the war pot). If you don't have enough targets to use your Energy on, jumping into other fights is a great way to help the fight! You don't even have to attack to earn the bonus.
✔ Overseas Bonus (1.25x Respect) – Attacking enemies outside Torn gives bonus Respect.
✔ Retaliation Bonus (1.5x Respect) – If you hospitalize an enemy that attacked us in the last 5 minutes, you get extra Respect.
✔ FF Bonus (1-3x Respect) – If you attack an enemy close to your own stats, you earn a bonus multiplier (see Selecting the Right Targets above).
🔗 Chains = More Respect – Every attack increases the chain counter. Special hits at 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000+ grant huge Respect boosts.
🚨 War Chains Only Count If The Bonus Hit Lands on a War Target!
If you hit an outside target for a bonus instead of a war target, expect dozens of angry scientists to “experiment” on you. Stay in Discord and watch the chain tracker.
You WILL get attacked. When you land in the hospital, don’t panic—just be smart:
✔ Use medical items from the armory – Blood bags (if educated) are best. First Aid Kits and Morphine work too.
✔ Plan Before Leaving – If enemies are waiting for you, healing up immediately might put you right back in the hospital.
✔ Medical Cooldowns Exist – You can only use so many med items before hitting a cooldown. Use them wisely.
✔ Stay connected in Discord – All strategy happens in #legit-laboratory.
✔ Build your target list – Use Discord tools, scripts, and research.
✔ Attack smart – High-respect targets, multipliers, assists, and FF bonuses.
✔ Defend smart – Fly, self-hosp, communicate, and never sit idle in Torn.
✔ Win as a team – War is a group effort. Every Energy point matters.
👨🔬 Welcome to Legit Labs warfare. Let’s run some experiments. 🏴☠️
Smart farming in Torn during Ranked Wars is about maximizing respect gains while minimizing losses. Blindly attacking enemies for respect can backfire—if they retaliate and gain more respect than you earned, you're feeding them points. A strategic approach ensures that Legitimate Labs stays in control and progresses efficiently in the war.
✅ Prioritize High-Value Targets!
The best respect-to-energy ratio comes from enemies with 1.9 - 2.5 FF (Fair Fight) or higher.
Avoid wasting energy on low-FF targets, as they offer minimal respect for the effort.
If no high-value targets are available, coordinate with your team to find the next best option.
🚫 What to Avoid
Attacking low-yield targets just because they’re easy—this drains energy without meaningful gains.
Attacking players, then letting the enemy retaliate on you for a bonus. Remember to consider defense after a successful attack!
If only a few members of LL are online, coordinate attacks to maximize respect gains. Targeting enemies systematically ensures:
Efficient use of energy
No wasted attacks that don’t contribute to war progress
Minimized unintentional assists, which may waste needed Energy
Observing enemy activity and understanding their patterns can help you pick the best time to strike. Keep track of:
When key enemy players are online/offline
When their strongest members are healing or inactive
Time zones and potential shifts in activity
Sometimes, waiting for the right moment is more beneficial than launching random attacks. Patience can allow for well-timed strikes that yield better respect and reduce enemy counterattacks.
Once you understand smart farming and how to maximize respect gains, the next step is minimizing enemy opportunities. War is not just about gaining respect—it’s also about denying the enemy easy points.
Every attack has consequences. Before striking, consider:
✅ Will this provoke retaliation?
If your target (or their faction) is likely to hit back harder than your gain, it may not be worth the risk.
A +5 respect gain is meaningless if they counter for +6 or more.
✅ Are you leaving yourself open?
If you attack without ensuring you’re properly defended, you become an easy farm.
Plan your attacks when the enemy isn't attacking, or when you can escape quickly.
Some players excel at counterattacks, stacking boosts and perks that make their retaliation more profitable.
💡 Rule of Thumb:
If the enemy can consistently gain more from counterattacks than you earn from attacks, you’re helping them, not hurting them.
Energy is your most valuable resource in war. Wasting it on low-value attacks is the fastest way to lose ground.
🚫 Don’t Waste Energy on Low-Value Attacks
Before attacking, ask yourself:
🔹 Does this target provide enough respect to justify the attack?
🔹 Am I better off waiting for a better opportunity to strike?
Attacking just to spend energy is a flawed approach—be patient and wait for the right moment.
Efficient energy allocation ensures prolonged effectiveness in the war. Instead of using all energy immediately, space out attacks based on enemy activity and respect potential.
Winning Ranked Wars isn’t about mindlessly chasing respect—it’s about playing smarter than the enemy.
✔️ Analyze every attack for its long-term impact.
✔️ Coordinate with your faction—wars are won together.
✔️ Learn enemy patterns and capitalize on their mistakes.
