Many Torn tools and scripts require an API key to function properly. These keys grant access to your game data and allow tools to retrieve useful information for speed, insight, and automation.
Types of API Keys & How They Work
Torn allows you to generate API keys from your Settings page.
Different tools require different levels of API access, so if a tool isn’t working, checking your API key permissions is a good first step.
Some tools may require basic read-only access, while others might need broader permissions to pull real-time stats or financial data.
Best Practices for API Key Management
✅ Use one API key per tool. It’s best practice to assign a unique key for each service to avoid conflicts. If a key is used for more than one tool—especially those frequently pulling data—you may run into API request limits and errors.
✅ Limit API usage. You can have up to 10 active API keys at a time, so manage them wisely.
If a tool stops working or shows incomplete data, double-check your API key permissions and usage—it could be the culprit! 🚀
