Legitimate University is your gateway to success within the Legitimate Family. This course is designed to teach new students the essential mechanics of Torn and how to thrive within our faction. By the end of LU 101, you will understand faction expectations, Torn fundamentals, and be prepared to advance to higher-level studies and combat readiness.

To fully engage with the faction, follow these steps:
Join the LU Discord: This is mandatory. Use /verify to gain access.
Read the Pinned Messages: Each channel contains valuable information.
Introduce Yourself in #legit-university: Get to know your fellow students.
Engage in Chat: Asking questions and participating will accelerate your learning.

Torn operates on Torn Time (TT), which is different from your local timezone. All in-game timers, including Happy Reset, run on TT.
Happy Reset: Every 15 minutes, your Happy restores to its base value.
Why It Matters: Higher Happy levels mean better gym gains. Always train immediately after a reset for maximum efficiency.
Tracking TT: Use the clock in the Torn header (upper right) or sync with your own device.
Assignment: Find the current Torn Time and note its difference from your own time zone.

Your first goal in LU is to build a strong foundation in battle stats:
Goal: 250 in each battle stat (Strength, Defense, Speed, Dexterity).
Maximizing Gym Gains: Eat candy before training to boost Happy. Train immediately after Happy Reset to avoid waste.
Booster Cooldowns: Avoid unnecessary cooldowns by managing candy consumption wisely.
Assignment: Complete a Happy-boosted gym session and drop the logs in the #legit-university channel.

Combat is crucial in Torn. To gain experience and level up efficiently:
Use Faction Target Lists: These contain pre-approved targets for practice.
Choose Wisely: Attack players with similar stats to maximize experience.
Attack After Training: Higher stats = better chances of winning.
