“We are not half of anything, but twice as strong.”
— Half-Orc
Half-Orcs, also known as Baiteş—or more often Horcs—are a rare race, typically living on the margins of society. Usually, they maintain a quiet life following their chosen profession or become nomadic as a means to discover the broader world around them. Often stuck between the choices of living as an Orc or Human, Half-Orcs usually choose to forge their own path. With the strength and courage of an Orc, mixed with a Human's adaptability, Horcs make their presence known with their intuitive grasp.

Similar to their parent races, Half-Orcs can vary significantly in size, though often they are larger and taller than humans, and a tad smaller than orcs on average. Their skin tones are usually seen as more dulled colors than those of their Orc counterparts, leading them to take on pale shades of green, blue, or even brown, depending on their circumstances. A Horc's hair can vary greatly, but tends to take on darker, earthly shades like brown and black; there are, however, rare circumstances where one can have red hair, but it dulls quickly with age. With eyes, however, the color can vary greatly, having more human shades of hazel, grey, as well as the usual dark tones from Orcs. The most noticeable difference is the presence of tusks, which on Orcs can be quite sizable growths from their lower jaw. On Horcs, the tusks only grow two or three inches; some prefer to file them down entirely to prevent their beast-like appearance from putting others off.
Half-Orcs combine the traits and nature of humans and orcs uniquely. Often, their human parents' outlook on the world, as well as their surprising adaptability, comes from them. From their orcish side, however, half-orcs often inherit the wrongfully perceived extremes of their personalities. Half-Orcs have little patience for humoring others, and typically inherit a stubborn disposition. Some attribute this to their unlikely combination, being torn between taking an orcish profession or discovering the world as humans do, often leading to questioning their decisions at every turn. Ultimately, Half-Orcs should not be underestimated. Despite their shortcomings, Half-Orcs are capable of everything their parent races can do, and then some.
