First register with CoDA.org, then send your meeting info to meetings@LACoDA.org. More details below.

Changes sent to CoDA.org are not relayed to us and vice versa


By group conscience, through the end of Dec 2022, as

more info comes in about how to respond to new situations created by the pandemic,

meetings can be part of LA intergroup's meeting list if they're:


1. IN-PERSON // an in-person meeting that is:

● in LA CoDA's service area

● using a California (CA) meeting # after registering with CoDA.org

● (this is what it currently says in the LA CoDA Guidelines)


2. HYBRID // a hybrid meeting that is:

● in LA CoDA's service area and online

● using a California (CA) meeting # after registering with CoDA.org

● (not yet written into the Guidelines, but passed as a motion to try it out)


3. TEMP ONLINE // a temporarily online meeting that is:

● formerly in LA CoDA's service area and became a temporary online or

phone meeting due to the pandemic

● may or may not return to in-person or hybrid in the future

● using a California (CA) meeting # after registering with CoDA.org

● (not yet written into the Guidelines, but passed as a motion to try it out)


4. PERMANENT ONLINE // a grand-fathered-in online meeting that is:

● a former in-person meeting in LA CoDA's service area that became an

online or phone meeting due to the pandemic

● now permanently staying an online or phone meeting via GC

● using a Worldwide (WW) meeting # after registering with CoDA.org

● not part of any other intergroup

● actively attempt to have a GSR and/ or participate in LA CoDA intergroup

● listing their meeting time as Pacific Standard

● (not yet written into the Guidelines, but passed as a motion to try it out)


5. ONLINE // an online meeting that is:

Scope


1. LACC shall provide its services to all CoDA meetings in the Los Angeles area who feel that LACC serves their needs, provided that they are registered with the Fellowship Service Office of CoDA and LACC’s Meeting List Chair.

a. As suggested by the CoDA Fellowship Service Manual (FSM), a CoDA meeting consists of two or more individuals who meet regularly in accordance with the Twelve Traditions, where the Twelve Steps, Twelve Traditions, CoDA Preamble, and CoDA Welcome are read at each meeting.

2. The general boundaries of the service area are Mulholland Highway to the north, Interstate 5 to the east, the Orange County line to the south-east, and the southern and western coastlines.

3. CoDA meetings in border areas may choose to participate with and support the local Community Committee which best serves their needs. (LACC Guidelines, v 2.3.1) 4 / 23


At intergroup, the motion for #1-4 passed in Dec 2021, #5 was added in a motion that passed Feb 2022. Both motions say to revisit the concepts after a year in Dec 2022 to decide whether or not to add them to the Guidelines.
