A teacher’s commitment to their students and their success extends far beyond the classroom walls. Striving for excellence should not apply to just some students it must be a goal for all students. As Daniel (2022) highlights, teaching requires the wisdom to make decisions that are in the best interest of students, even in the face of difficult or complex situations. Furthermore, educators must always be aware that their personal conduct matters; children are always watching and learning from the examples set before them. Teachers are role models in the spotlight and in education, the spotlight is always on.

Throughout my student teaching experience, I consistently demonstrated readiness to lead a classroom of my own. My cooperating teacher, Mrs. Valenti, described me as responsible, reliable, organized, and highly professional. She noted that any minor areas for continued growth such as refining lesson pacing, strengthening openings and closures, and using targeted questioning will naturally develop with continued experience.
Mrs. Valenti was particularly impressed by how quickly I built meaningful connections with students, recognizing individual learning needs and using that knowledge to create a classroom environment that supports all learners. She concluded her evaluation by stating that I am ready for the professional workforce and that any school would be lucky to have me on their team.
