Managing classroom procedures covers the management of the classroom and the classroom routine. A classroom is more effective when the teacher establishes clear routines and rules. The implementation of rules and routines within the classroom promotes development of skills and social emotional behaviors.

Classroom Schedule

While in Kane we kept a class schedule posted at the head of the classroom that allowed students to know how the day would flow. It also allowed them to know which special they would have each day. We changed out the specials card each morning so it was accurate when students entered the classroom.

Rules

In Kane we implemented a set of expectations that the students helped create. Each student also signed off on the list taking responsibility that they would follow the classroom expectations and promote peers.
