Domain One: Planning and Preparation is a description of how teachers organize instruction for student learning. The educator’s essential responsibility is to prepare learning activities in such a manner that students learn the curriculum thoroughly and are able to apply what they learned within the school setting but also outside of the school setting.  The main goal of Domain One: Planning and Preparation is to make sure the educator understands the curriculum and also has a knowledge of the students present within their classroom so that curriculum can be modified to fit their individual needs.
