It seems that Bendigamos is thought of throughout the world as being written in Ladino. It is not. Ladino, in fact, is not used much at all in the Spanish-Portuguese community. Bendigamos is, rather, Castilian, a form of Old Spanish that would have been spoken in pre-Expulsion Spain.
