Lifelong Learning Paper

          The eighth and final student learning outcome of committing to lifelong learning and professional development is met through my ‘Lifelong Learning Paper.’ The outcome was met through my personal narrative of how I will choose to dedicate myself to lifelong learning in my future as a nurse. I described what the concept meant to me and the ways I will demonstrate my dedication in the future. I then discussed the ways I could promote professional development through continued competency courses, joining nursing organizations, and obtaining certification courses. Lastly, I discussed my future short-term and long-term professional/personal goals and the way I can influence these goals. These topics combined showed that none of my future goals or desires can be accomplished without my commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
