Professional Activity: 2020 - 2021

On March 1st, 2021, I attended the Leukemia/Lymphoma professional activity hosted by the Student Nursing Association at Longwood University. During this event, representatives from the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society spoke to students via Zoom about their mission, goals, and daily work for individuals. Additionally, the representatives spoke about the various forms of Leukemia and Lymphoma and their prognosis for affected patients. Through this activity, I was able to learn more about the amazing work this organization does and how I as a future nurse and citizen can help the organization. This was a great professional activity that taught me a lot and encouraged me to become involved with organizations such as these.
