My Nursing Theory Paper meets the third student learning outcome of incorporating professional standards into the nursing profession. The outcome is met through the essay's focus on a certain nursing theory used to guide clinical-based practice for nurses. Nursing theories as a whole provide a framework for clinical decision-making and planning care. Additionally, nursing theories have been researched and incorporated into evidence-based practice making them standard parts of practice. This paper discusses the importance of nursing theories and how I relate those theories to my personal philosophy of nursing. Through the analysis, I am now able to incorporate the professional nursing theory standards into my future practice to provide holistic compassionate care.
