Additional Assignments of Recognition 

1.            The Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment Paper was completed in my geriatric nursing course Junior year. This paper analyzed the complete health history, physical assessment, and social/psychological assessment of a patient and incorporated two geriatric-specific nursing tools. This paper allowed me to comprehensively explore the lifespan of a geriatric patient and gain insight into the nursing roles of caring for a geriatric patient.

2.           The next two assignments were completed in my nursing research course junior year. The assignments consisted of one quantitative article critique and one qualitative article critique. The goal was to perform a comprehensive critical appraisal of two different articles in order to identify the components of the research process in studies and determine the strengths, weaknesses, and overall reliability. Both assignments enlightened my knowledge and allowed me to learn to research the research!

3.           In my sophomore year I began to create care plans for patients during my clinical experiences. The final care plan assignment was to look at the different patients whom I cared for in clinical and create a comprehensive plan of care. This final care plan is composed of my comprehensive clinical experiences, patient care, and previous care-planning skills.
