Guide Questions
1. What are the product forms that shall be covered by the VCA?
2. What are the strategies and methodologies in data gathering?
3. Who are the target key respondents on the conduct of VCA?
4. How to effectively engage with different type of respondents?
At the onset of VCA study, the members of the core planning team shall hold an inception meeting or workshop to mobilize the actual conduct of the study. At the meeting or workshop the CPT shall,
Identify product forms and commodities that shall be covered by the VCA study.
Assess the currency of existing VCA studies in terms of the following:
(a) Climate and other risk resiliency factors
(b) links to relevant updated plans of the DA, other agencies, and LGU;
(c) emerging changes in the commodity system;
(d) already existing for at least three (3) years
Revisit and analyze the current and available industry roadmaps and results of VC assessments of commodities to prepare/ update.
Discuss and level off on the following, but not limited to:
- goals and objectives of preparing or updating the commodity VCA;
- the approaches, strategies, and methodologies in conducting the VCA study;
- Designing of questionnaires that will be used in data gathering
- identification of market and marketable product form/s;
The CPT shall identify the key stakeholders who will participate in the conduct of the study. The Stakeholders Engagement Plan of the Social and Environmental Safeguards Unit shall be used as a guide in the identification of stakeholders and methodologies on how to engage different groups of stakeholders.
