Skulls & Ghosts

...the slightly spooky side of stone

Not every face I find looks entirely alive. Some stones emerge from years of erosion with hollow eyes, skeletal features and ghostly expressions, resembling skulls, spirits or creatures from some other world.

These are rocks, but no ordinary rocks. They seem to have been through some rough times in their very long lives.

And yet, there is nothing sinister about them. Perhaps time simply has a sense of humour.
