Imagine

...when a discovery becomes a story

Sometimes observation gives way to play. A face found in a stone becomes the beginning of a scene. A line drawn in the sand, a shell, a piece of seaweed or other natural elements found nearby are enough to suggest a body, a gesture, an action.

These ephemeral compositions exist only briefly. The tide will erase the drawings, the wind will move the pieces, and everything will return to where it came from. Photography allows the moment and the little story it contains to remain.

As I help these rocks reveal who they might be, I discover a little more of myself.

Nothing is meant to last, except perhaps the imagination it leaves behind.
