For this set, I need to give a special shout-out to Mishima Productions, whose Lego Armored Core series of videos was a huge inspiration, and in some instances, guide on creating my own set in that style.
The big features of this style of mech are the sleek armoring, a detachable backpack weapon, and an enclosed cockpit that still fits a minifigure. For mine, I used Zane's Titan Mech as a basis, using a lot of white and blue armor plating (and just taking its head; it's a really good head).
For the weapons, I went with a classic arm blade, but for the ranged weapon, I decided to go with something a little different. Using some dragon horn parts, I made a futuristic crossbow. I also added fireable missiles as the back weapon to add some extra playability.
I like to think this set would encourage kids to get creative, making their own back attachments or swapping the weapons around to customize the mech, just like in the game.
