Christ is alive! Let Christians sing;
the cross stands empty to the sky:
let streets and homes with praises ring.
Love, drowned in death, shall never die.
Christ is alive! No longer bound
to distant years in Palestine,
but saving, healing, here and now,
and touching every place and time .
In every insult, rift and war,
where colour, scorn or wealth divide,
Christ suffers still, yet loves the more,
and lives, where even hope has died .
Women and men , in age and youth,
can feel the spirit, hear the call,
and find the way, the life the truth,
revealed in Jesus, freed for all.
Christ is alive, and comes to bring
good news to this and every age,
till earth and sky and ocean ring
with joy, with justice, love and praise.

RESPONSE: (Cantor, then all)
I will extol you Lord, for you have raised me up.
I will extol you, Lord, for you have raised me up,
and have not let my enemies rejoice over me.
O Lord, you have lifted up my soul from Sheol,
restored me to life from those who sink into the pit.
I will extol you Lord, for you have raised me up.
Sing psalms to the Lord, you faithful ones;
give thanks to his holy name .
His anger lasts a moment, his favour all through life .
At night comes tears, but dawn brings joy.
I will extol you Lord, for you have raised me up.
Hear, O Lord, have mercy on me ;
be my helper, O Lord.
You have changed my mourning into dancing.
O Lord my God, I will thank you for ever.
I will extol you Lord, for you have raised me up.

My Jesus,
I believe that You are present
in this Holy Sacrament of the altar.
I love You above all things
and I passionately desire
to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally,
come spiritually into my soul
so that I may unite myself wholly to You
now and forever. Amen.
Based on a prayer of St Alphonsus Liguorit
The disciples recognised
the Lord Jesus
in the breaking of bread
