32nd Sunday Ordinary time

32nd Sunday in Ordinary time, 7th Nov 2021

Opening Song

1. The Lord's my Shepherd, I'll not want;

He makes me down to lie

In pastures green; He leadeth me

The quiet waters by.

2. My soul He doth restore again

And me to walk doth make

Within the paths of righteousness,

E'en for His own name's sake.

3. Yea, tho' I walk in death's dark vale,

Yet will I fear no ill;

For Thou art with me, and Thy rod

And staff me comfort still.

Words : Psalm 22(23) / Francis Rous

Gloria

Refrain:

Glory to God, Glory to God,

Glory to God in the highest

And on earth, peace on earth

Peace to people of goodwill.

We praise You, we bless You

We adore You, we glorify You

We give You thanks,

For Your great glory.

Lord God heavenly King,

O God Almighty Father. (to Refrain)

Lord Jesus Christ, only Begotten Son.

Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father.

You take away the sins of the world,

Have mercy on us.

You take away the sins of the world,

Receive our prayer.

You are seated at the right hand

The right hand of the Father

Have mercy on us.... (to Refrain)

For You al- one are the Holy One

You alone are the Lord.

You alone are the most High,

Jesus Christ.

With the Holy Spirit, in the glory

Of God the Father. (to Refrain)

Amen, Amen

Responsorial Psalms

Psalm 32

RESPONSE: (Cantor, then all)

My soul give praise, praise to the Lord (2x)

1.

It is the Lord who keeps faith for ever,

who is just to those who are oppressed.

It is he who gives bread to the hungry,

the Lord, who sets prisoners free.

My soul give praise, praise to the Lord (2x)

2.

It is the Lord who gives sight to the blind,

who raises up those who are bowed down.

It is the Lord who loves the just,

the Lord, who protects the stranger.

My soul give praise, praise to the Lord (2x)

3.

He upholds the widow and orphan

but thwarts the path of the wicked.

The Lord will reign for ever,

Zion’s God, from age to age.

My soul give praise, praise to the Lord (2x)

Offertory Song

Verse:

Lord, creator of all, true Father of all,

blest and ho - ly.

Through your goodness we bring,

this humble offering, make it worthy.

From human hands a sacrifice

that will become the bread of life.

Refrain 1:

Bread and wine we bring

and lay before the table of the Lord.

And through this offering

our worthiness restored.

Verse:

All we are, Lord, is yours.

All we have now is yours, completely.

Like widow’s mite these gifts we bring, humble,

selfless offering. Make us worthy.

And may we through this mystery,

share in your divinity.

Refrain 2:

Our lives in offering, we bring before the table of the Lord.

And through this offering, our worthiness restored.

Repeat refrain 1

Prayer of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus,

I believe that You are present

in this Holy Sacrament of the altar.

I love You above all things

and I passionately desire to receive You into my soul.

Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally,

come spiritually into my soul

so that I may unite myself wholly to You

now and forever.
Amen.

Based on a prayer of St Alphonsus Liguorit

Communion Song

I will offer up my life

In spirit and truth,

Pouring out the oil of love

As my worship to You

In surrender I must give my every part;

Lord, receive the sacrifice

Of a broken heart

CHORUS:

Jesus, what can I give, what can I bring

To so faithful a friend, to so loving a King?

Savior, what can be said, what can be sung?

As a praise of Your name

For the things You have done?

Oh my words could not tell, not even in part

Of the debt of love that is owed

By this thankful heart

You deserve my every breath

For You've paid the great cost;

Giving up Your life to death,

Even death on a cross

You took all my shame away,

There defeated my sin

Opened up the gates of heaven

And have beckoned me in

Recessional Song

4. My table Thou hast furnished

In presence of my foes;

My head Thou dost with oil anoint,

And my cup overflows.

5. Goodness and mercy, all my life,

Shall surely follow me;

And in God's house forevermore

My dwelling place shall be.
